The inaugural UK Padel Convention 2025 has made history as the largest padel event ever held in Britain. Taking place on 19th November 2025 at The Padel Club in Gloucester, this groundbreaking convention – organized by digital hub The Padel Directory – brought together 760 attendees and over 45 exhibitors in a vibrant celebration of the UK’s booming padel scene. Co-founders George Modler and Ben Harris spearheaded the event with remarkable success, selling out tickets well in advance. The atmosphere was electric, with stakeholders from every corner of the sport convening under one roof to network, learn, and showcase innovations. “Padel in the UK has grown faster than its infrastructure and knowledge base. The industry needed a platform where operators, investors, brands and coaches could align and move the sport forward together,” Modler explained, noting that the scale and engagement of this first edition proved just how necessary such a forum is.

UK Padel Convention

A New Milestone for UK Padel

Held at a state-of-the-art nine-court venue, The Padel Club, the convention marked a major milestone for the sport in the UK. Over the course of one action-packed day, attendees experienced live panel sessions, on-court demonstrations, and interactive exhibitions covering every aspect of the game. Two full-size showcase courts ran “drills and thrills” training sessions, show matches like the Inclusive Padel Tour exhibition, and even a “Beat the Machine” challenge by Padel Master – giving participants a chance to see padel in action and even join in. In the conference hall, expert panellists – including club operators, coaches, and industry leaders – led discussions on building padel clubs, forging partnerships, developing grassroots programs, and what makes a venue successful. The content was richly informative, reflecting the rapid professionalisation of the UK padel landscape. As one attendee described, the event demonstrated “unity, positive intent and a huge drive” towards growing the sport in a sustainable way. There was a palpable sense of community throughout the day – something noted by many, including Pep Stonor of Empower Padel who remarked that “court builders, tech creators, brands and event producers [were] all coming together with one shared passion”.

Crucially, this convention was more than just talks and games – it was a networking nexus. Attendees ranging from club owners and coaches to investors and federation reps mingled freely in social spaces and a bustling exhibitor hall, sparking new connections and collaborations. “The energy, conversations and ambition across the room show just how fast the sport is moving in the UK,” said Ulrik Leith, co-founder of Scandinavian apparel brand Cuera, who flew in for the event. He praised the organizers, adding, “A huge thank you to Ben and George for hosting such an impressive event and for bringing the entire UK padel community together under one roof”. Early feedback has indeed been overwhelmingly positive, with praise for the quality of discussions, the range of exhibitors, and the value of uniting the whole ecosystem in one place. The success has already “reinforced demand for an annual national forum”, and plans are underway to make next year’s convention “bigger and better” in a larger venue.

Powered by Vision and Community

The resounding success of the first UK Padel Convention is a testament to the vision and execution of The Padel Directory team, led by George and Ben. In the span of one day, they managed to create a “serious, central meeting point for the sport” that the UK has long needed.

By uniting stakeholders from grassroots enthusiasts to global brands, the convention has set the foundation for an annual tradition. “This was the foundation. The UK now has a credible annual convention that brings the entire ecosystem together,” Modler noted, already looking ahead as “next year will scale in ambition, size and substance to match the pace of the sport’s growth.”

As supporters and participants, we are incredibly excited to have been part of this first edition. The energy and optimism at the event were infectious, reaffirming our belief in the sport’s bright future.
